1. Introduction

Beyond Development ("we", "our") operates the Yellow Gorilla mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

By using Yellow Gorilla, you accept the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information (required)

• Email address
• Username (minimum 3 characters)

2.2 Profile Information (optional)

• First and last name
• Country
• Date of birth
• Profile photo
• Description or biography

2.3 Game Data

• Registered games and their details (platform, start/end date, current location, notes)
• Teams and characters associated with each game (name, nickname, level, position)
• Registered events, including title, description, location, characters involved, and up to 3 images per event
• General statistics (completed games, registered events, hours played)

3. How We Collect Your Information

We collect information directly from you when:

• You create an account via email or Google Sign-In
• You complete or edit your profile
• You register games, teams, or events
• You upload images from your camera or gallery

4. Use of Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Create and manage your account
• Store and display your game data within the App
• Allow you to edit and delete your information at any time

We do not use your information for:

• Advertising or marketing
• Behavioral analysis or tracking (analytics/tracking)
• Selling or exchanging with third parties
• Social features or sharing data with other users

5. Third-Party Services

Yellow Gorilla uses the following Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication: to manage user registration and login.
• Google Sign-In: as an alternative authentication method. When using it, your email, name, and photo from your Google account are shared.
• Cloud Firestore: to store your account data and game records.
• Firebase Storage: to store uploaded images (profile photo and event images).

These services are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Data may be stored on servers located in the United States or other regions where Google operates its data centers.

6. Image Storage

Images you upload (profile photo and event images) are stored in Firebase Storage in compressed JPEG format (800×600 pixels, 70% quality). These images are stored with URLs that, while not publicly listed, could be accessible if someone knows the direct URL. We do not share these links with third parties or make them intentionally publicly accessible.

7. App Permissions

Yellow Gorilla may request the following permissions on your device:

• Camera: to capture photos directly from the App for your journey events.
• Gallery / Storage: to select existing photos from your device for your profile or events.
• Internet: to communicate with Firebase servers and sync your data.

These permissions are optional and you can revoke them at any time from your device settings.

8. Data Privacy

All data you record in Yellow Gorilla is private. The App does not have:

• Public profiles
• Social features (follows, likes, comments)
• Data sharing with other users
• Analytics or behavioral tracking

Your information is visible only to you.

9. Your Rights

As a Yellow Gorilla user, you can at any time:

• Access all your information stored in the App
• Edit any data in your profile, games, teams, or events
• Delete individual records (games, teams, events, images)
• Delete your account completely, which will erase all your associated data from Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage

10. Security

We employ the security measures provided by Firebase and Google Cloud to protect your information, including encryption in transit and database security rules. However, no data transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

11. Minors

Yellow Gorilla is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not intentionally collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Yellow Gorilla application ("the App"), developed by Beyond Development ("we"), you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Yellow Gorilla is a mobile application that allows gamers to document and track their gaming adventures. The App allows you to register games, teams, and events in a personal and private way.

3. Intellectual Property

Yellow Gorilla, including its design, code, and functionality, is the property of Beyond Development. Yellow Gorilla is an independent game logging tool and is not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any video game company or their franchises.

4. User Content

All content you create within the App (game records, teams, events, images, profile data) is your property. Beyond Development does not claim ownership rights over your content.

By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing you with the service. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account.

5. Permitted Use

Yellow Gorilla is designed for personal and non-commercial use. By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for personal and non-commercial purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Not use the App to upload illegal, offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights
• Not attempt to access other users' data or unauthorized systems
• Be responsible for maintaining the security of your account

6. User Account

To use Yellow Gorilla, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing truthful information when registering
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

You can delete your account at any time from the App settings. When you do so, all your data will be permanently deleted from our servers, including authentication data, database records, and stored images.

7. Service Availability

Yellow Gorilla depends on infrastructure services provided by Firebase and Google Cloud. Therefore:

• We do not guarantee that the App will be available uninterruptedly or error-free
• The service may be affected by maintenance, updates, or interruptions in Firebase/Google services
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice

8. Limitation of Liability

Yellow Gorilla is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law:

• We do not offer express or implied warranties about the operation of the App
• We are not responsible for data loss due to technical failures, service interruptions, or third-party actions
• We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App

We recommend not relying on Yellow Gorilla as the only means of storing important information.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
