Beyond Development ("we") develops the Emula2 app ("the App") for iOS and Android. The App does not collect personal data. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking, and it does not connect to the internet. Everything you create in the App stays on your device.
To work, the App stores in its private storage:
This data does not leave your device through the App, and we have no access to it.
If iCloud Backup (iOS) or Google backup (Android) is turned on, the operating system may include your saves, progress and settings in that backup. Game files are excluded. Apple or Google manage those backups under their own policies, and you can turn them off in your device settings.
On Android, the App declares no permissions, not even internet access. On iOS it asks for no protected data. To import a game you use the system file picker, and the App only accesses the file you choose.
Emula2 has no in-app purchases today. If optional purchases are added in a future version, they will be processed by Apple or Google; we will never receive your payment details, and the app will only check whether a purchase is active. We will update this policy before that happens.
If you agreed in your device settings to share diagnostics with developers, Apple or Google may give us anonymous, aggregated crash reports. We use them only to fix bugs. The App has no crash reporting system of its own. We also see aggregated, anonymous statistics that Apple and Google provide to every developer (such as downloads and crashes). They never identify you, and the app itself sends nothing.
Anything you export from the app is created on your device and shared only through your system's share sheet, when and where you choose.
The App is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.
You can reset your medals from Profile › Settings. If you uninstall the App, the system deletes all of its data from the device. System backups are managed from iCloud or your Google account.
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date. If the App ever starts collecting data, we will say so here and on each store listing before it happens.
For questions about this policy, write to info@bedevcr.com. Beyond Development, Costa Rica.

By downloading, installing or using Emula2 ("the App"), developed by Beyond Development ("we"), you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. On iOS, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Emula2 is a retro handheld console emulator that plays copies of games you import and awards medals when it detects milestones inside the game.
The App does not include, sell, link to or help download games or system files (BIOS). You may only use files you have the right to use, such as backup copies of games you legally own. You are responsible for the files you import.
Emula2, including its name, design, code and original content, is the property of Beyond Development. Emula2 is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any console maker or video game publisher. All trademarks mentioned by users or games belong to their respective owners.
The App's emulation core is based on mGBA, distributed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Its source code is available at github.com/mgba-emu/mgba. You can see every third-party licence in Settings › Licenses inside the App.
Emula2 has no purchases today. If optional purchases are offered in the future, Apple or Google will process them, refunds will follow each store's policies, and you will be able to restore a purchase on another device with the same store account.
Your saves and progress are stored only on your device. We cannot recover them if they are lost. We recommend keeping system backups turned on.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties and are not liable for data loss or for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. For any question, write to info@bedevcr.com.

No. Emula2 does not include, sell or link to games or BIOS files. You can only play copies of games you have the right to use.
In the Library, tap the add button and choose a .gba or .zip file from
Files (iOS) or the Android file picker. The App checks the file and copies it to its private
storage.
In the App's private storage, on your device. Your saves and progress are included in the system backup (iCloud or Google) when it is turned on; game files are not.
Medals are only available for supported games and versions that the App recognizes. A modified copy or an unsupported version can be played, but it awards no medals.
It blocks loading quick saves and fast forward, so every medal is earned with the full challenge.
You can reset your medals from Profile › Settings. Uninstalling the App deletes all of its data from the device.
